Dance with Your Inner Child

Hello, we are back… new month, new intension, new mantra to think about. I’ve been thinking about this idea of “dancing with your inner child.” It’s a fun one to play with this summer. This came about for me recently when I was asked to be on a podcast with Dr. Nikki, on her program Legends. One of her questions that she asks all of her guests is, “what would your current “self” tell your 5 year old “self”?” What kind of advise or ideas would help your younger self? I love this whole idea of having a dance/play with younger iterations and versions of self. See what that means for you. What advise would you give? What words of encouragement would you have?

Dr. Nikki specifically was asking me about the “self” at 5 years old, when I was younger and dealing with a lot of my autoimmune stuff. A lot of it came when I was 5. So some of the stuff that came up for me were: this is a journey, appreciate all the pieces of the journey as it unfolds in front of you… through the love and pain and heartbreak, there is beauty and moments of magic in it all… even through the most emotional and hardest times that I’ve been through, loss of loved ones that are so dear to me, I can see the beauty of it all now. I’m sad that I’ve lost the physical presence of those so close to me and yet, they still live so closely to me in my heart. Even in relationships… the pain of relationships shifting and changing. All of it’s beautiful. So how do we dance with that?

Hope that resonates with you. We’ll be back next week with another question to play with the question of how we can dance with our inner child.

Have a beautiful day
